Summary:
Paris is burning--and only Private's Jack Morgan can put out the fire.
Before Jack can locate her, several members of France's cultural elite are found dead--murdered in stunning, symbolic fashion. The only link between the crimes is a mysterious graffiti tag. As religious and ethnic tensions simmer in the City of Lights, only Jack and his Private team can connect the dots before the smoldering powder keg explodes.
***Short & Sweet Reviews are short, quick reviews. These will mainly be used for series books where I have already done full reviews on some of the earlier books or for books that I feel will suffice with a quick review. These will not be used for review requests or blog tours.
My thoughts: James Patterson is an author I read for pure enjoyment. His books and series are fun easy reads - the books are fast-paced and filled with memorable main characters. With this series, the cases themselves are so intriguing that you find yourself glued to the pages until everything is solved...it's an adrenaline-filled adventure every single time!
I loved that this particular installment involved Jack Morgan...I like when he is involved. He goes to check in on the Paris office and ends up getting involved in several murders. But I liked that this time around, there were only two cases. This is much easier to keep things straight and it allowed for better development of the story lines as well as the characters involved.
As usual the action is nonstop and frantic, and with the short chapters, you can't help but keep reading, with that whole "just one more chapter" mentality egging you on. And of course, the mini cliff-hanger endings at some of the chapter endings don't help either.
And I loved that this book ends with a few strings dangling...it makes me want to pick up the next book sooner rather than later...
